Well, if we’re being strict… nothing, really.

I’m not going to pretend otherwise, because they are what they are: notebooks.

Pages to write or draw on.

Although…

Look, this is how it all started…

I saw her take out her notebook in the middle of Times Square.

Surrounded by noise, lights, tourists, and honking taxis like it was the end of the world… there she was, sitting on a bench, writing.

As if the world had paused just to let her think.

Abril (my daughter) has always been like that.

One of those little souls who keeps her thoughts like precious treasures.

And I, her mother, who sometimes thinks I’m braver than I really am, sat down next to her and said:

—What if we make our own notebooks?

She looked at me.

Raised an eyebrow. Smiled.

And instead of telling me it was crazy, she said:

—Okay, but they have to be really special.

That’s how it began.

A daughter who can’t live without writing…

and a mother who didn’t want to be left with the regret of not trying (something beautiful).

It wasn’t just about making these (very) cool notebooks — even though they are.

It was also about everything I wanted to say through them.

💡 I want my kids to know that ideas don’t belong locked in your head. And that with attitude, knowledge, and dedication, they can become real. Just like these notebooks.

🌍 That projects can travel and reach people you’ve never even met.

We live surrounded by screens, yes. But the important thing is still this: real connection. And these notebooks… connect.

It’s not all about clocking in at 9 a.m. You can also start something from a simple idea shared in a mother-daughter conversation (and teamwork between the two).

The first draft notebook came out a bit wonky

Each with its own personalityAmazon decided our project was a test of love (despite the delivery guy), and our prototype notebook arrived a little wavy on one side.

But there it was. Our notebook. Proud.

And in just one day, as if by magic, it returned to its perfect shape

I like to say it straightened itself back up, like it had character too.
